Fermanagh CCC secretary Hugh Kelly admitted that there has been a positive feedback to how the fixtures have been going this year.

A new format was introduced in the football championships and with teams either looking forward to semi-finals or facing into relegation battles, there is still plenty of action on the club scene.

"In this second week of September, we have a situation where every single club in the county is involved in championship, either in semi-finals or in games concerned with the defence of their championship status," the Fermanagh Herald reports Kelly as stating at the meeting.

"Those championship relegation games are of monumental importance to the clubs involved. And we have eight clubs still in the reserve championship and I think that for them the fact of having two panels still in the championship at this stage of the year has been beneficial to them in particular."
