Fermanagh manager Ryan McMenamin believes that last Sunday’s FL2 win over Roscommon will give his players the confidence to push on in the division.

In their first home game of the year, the Erne County dug deep to grind out a win against the Rossies in a clash that the Ulster side were very much the underdogs.

McMenamin told the Fermanagh Herald that the win will give the players massive belief for the remainder of the campaign as they look to push on from here.

“Of course, we want to win every game and it’s up to us to get the players to understand that they are a very good team and they certainly can play at a higher level,” said McMenamin.

“It’s a belief and a mindset thing and I want to change that in the minds of these Fermanagh players. They are a very good side and they are a very good footballing team that can mix it with the best, no doubt about that.

He added: “Every day in training I have 38 men who want to be there. It is not the size of the county, but the players we have and it is our job to make them better.”
