I hope the sheep were watching that boy Ronaldo last night...... But i wouldn't expect them to apreciate a master at work. Proves yet again he is the best in the world

He was unplayable last night Manc, after a shaky start to the tournament he showed his class. Can't see how the Czech's can stop Portugal now especially if Ronaldo keeps that form up

Not doubting ronaldo's class but doing it against a Dutch team playing 3 in defense chasing the game is one thing, doing it against a well drilled defense is another. People are over reacting to his performance last night.

Another 2 tonight for the greatest player of all time. Surely no one will doubt the man now. We should celebrate this man while he's playing cause he is a genius and for me no player comes close to Messi in the history of football.

jesus what happened you when messi couldnt get a kick against the mighty celtic and a bunch of championship level players clondalkin?......magnificient achievment by leo though..it seems to suit barca more winning wise when he operates as more of a creator/scorer than his role now as the disparity between him and the rest of the players in goal count is too large

Championship level players? Haha that's a good one, say that to corkcelt and the Bhoys. Forster, Wanyama, Brown are far from Championship players.

ok mayoboy1, 8 championship level players and the 3 guys you named... Although I would argue that brown is a championship level player and samaras would be a bit above that.
Clondalkin, saying it over and over again doesnt make it so. Furthermore you ignore the negatives constantly. He bottled it against chelsea when they needed him, and he bottled it against germany in the same fashion. It is great hammering in goals when everything is going well, it is a different story when things arent going well and your teammates are relying on you to get them through a game. Maradona done it for an entire world cup with a gang of average players behind him, not to mention his exploits at napoli. That is what makes good players great. If you want a decent and fair conclusion then you have to consider these things.

Every player has bad games no matter who they are. Master if you don't rate Messi fair enough but stop trying to put a great man down to get your point across. For me he's easily the greatest for you he's not let's leave it at that.

Actually no, nothing like it. Simply because I point out exactly why it is so and offer facts to back up the point. So to recap, no, the exact opposite. But well done on yet another off-topic rant at a poster that offers nothing other than to display how personal you take this stuff. Keep up the good work...

If you would stop posting it over and over again then we might be able to leave it at that. If you can post your opinions then why cant I post mine? Particularly when I am the one who doesnt ignore facets of his game... If you dont like what gets rasied when your opinions get questioned, then maybe you should be rethinking the opinion? Surely that is more reasonable than a blanket ban on hearing the opposing opinion? Maybe it is just me, but Im not a believer in the 'ignorance is bliss' ethos.

I just don't get why anyone would talk in negative terms about him. My dad reckons he will be regarded as the greatest ever when he is eventually finished. People always have a fondness for the players from years gone by but we must also remember how much time players had and how slow the game was. I am delighted to see Messi is now running the show to equal effect for Argentina. I hope they win the world cup and he plays a blinder, it might shut the muppets up.
