Reigning champions Cuala and rivals Kilmacud Crokes both claimed second round victories to maintain their unbeaten start to the Dublin SHC this evening.

Willie Maher's Cuala were far superior to hosts Setanta in their 1-22 to 0-12 win. They will face Na Fianna - who registered an impressive 4-16 to 1-13 victory over Thomas Davis -  in their final Group 4 game on Saturday week.

Meanwhile, Alex Considine netted first as Kilmacud Crokes recorded a runaway success against Craobh Chiarain at Clonshaugh. In a rampant display, the Crokes defeated the northsiders 1-22 to 0-13.

Also in Group 2, Ballyboden St Enda's put the disappointment of last week's 14-point loss to Kilmacud Crokes firmly behind them to beat Scoil Ui Chonaill by 35.

In Group 1, St Vincent's and Lucan Sarsfields won again as they saw off Ballinteer St John's and St Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh, respectively.

Elsewhere, in Group 3, a strong second half performance gave last year's beaten finalists St Brigid's a crucial 3-17 to 1-17 win at St Jude's expense while Whitehall Colmcille overcame Faughs in Cloghran.
