Donegal's Paddy McBrearty protects possession from Cavan's Padraig Faulkner

Donegal’s chances of pulling off an upset against Dublin this weekend will be boosted by the availability of Paddy McBrearty, Hugh McFadden, Daire O Baoill and Caolan McGonagle.

The Tir Chonaill outfit are looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their round 3 defeat to Galway and manager Declan Bonner told the Irish News: “It’s a good boost for us.

“We will need everything we can get for a really tough match against a Dublin side who very seldom lose in Croke Park.

“The only long-term injuries are Paddy McGrath, Stephen McMenamin, Jason McGee and Oisin Gallen, who are all progressing fairly well.”

On sharpshooter McBrearty - who has yet to feature after returning from the US - Bonner added: “Paddy McBrearty will be back in contention, he has come back in good shape, but it is a question of getting him back to match fitness.”
