Great to see Darragh Warnock receiving his 2019 Dublin U-20 Leinster Football Championship and All-Ireland Runners-up medals. Yet another proud moment for the Club. It’s been a great start to 2020 for Senior Footballer, Limerick native Seamus O’Carroll who has followed up Limerick’s McGrath Cup success with three straight NFL wins.

Feb.12 – Well done CCC students Callum Sheridan and Dylan Clarke on joining the Second Year North Dublin Colleges Squad and on playing for North Dublin in their 8-17 1-5 League win in Abbotstown.

Feb.13 – No Lotto Jackpot Winner. Next week’s Jackpot €4,400. Six Match 3 winners get €50 each – Oonagh Boland, Joe Garry, Jenny Hickey, Aoife McLoughlin, John Hynes and Padraig O’Brien. Lucky Dip €30 winner – Willie Green.

Feb.14 – Congrats to Caitlin Coffey centre-half forward on the Dublin Ladies Minor Football team on beating Meath 2-11 2-10 in the First Round of the Leinster Championship in the Meath Centre of Excellence in Dunganny on St. Valentine’s Day.

Feb.15 – The 2012 Boys hold a special Tree Planting ceremony in Tir na nÓg in memory of Calum Farrell. Thanks to everyone who organised this wonderful tribute to Calum.

Congrats to Luke Swan and Senan Forker on Dublin U-20’s Leinster Football Quarter-Final win 3-10 0-9 over Longford in Parnell Park. Dublin now meet Meath in the Leinster Semi-Final next weekend.

Wonderful to see five Castleknock players, Aisling O’Neill, Cara Feeney, Lucy Quinn, Mollie Turner and Caitlin Coffey, in the Dublin Minor Camogie squad for the first match of this year’s All-Ireland Series. Dublin beat the 2019 All-Ireland Minor Champions Cork in Bray by 1-12 1-09 helped by four points from play from corner-forward Aisling O’Neill. Lucy Quinn started in the other corner and Cara Feeney at wing-back with Caitlin Coffey and Mollie Turner on the bench. Another great day for Castleknock.

Storm Dennis wipes out the entire weekend calendar of Club games at Juvenile and Adult levels.

Upcoming: Following the disappointment of last weekend’s postponements this weekend sees the beginning of the 2020 Adult Hurling Leagues. The Senior Hurlers travel to Tallaght to play St. Mark’s in AHL Div.3. on Sunday morning (Feb.23) at 10am. In Div.5 Castleknock play Realt Dearg in Drimnagh Castle at midday and the Div.9 North side meet Setanta in Ballymun at 3pm. The Minor Football Leagues begin on Sunday morning as well.

Castleknock Community College Senior Football team which includes a number of our players meets Malahide Community School in the Dublin SF ‘B’ Final on Tuesday Feb.25 on the 3G pitch in Abbotstown at 1.30pm. All support welcome.
