Donegal county board are set to table a motion at Congress to stop any county from playing two of their games in the Super 8s at Croke Park.

Last year’s inaugural Super 8s saw each team playing one home game, one away game and one game at GAA headquarters in the quarter-final format for the All-Ireland football championship.

Defending champions Dublin played two of their games at Croker after designating it as their home venue, which caused some controversy and saw Donegal bringing a formal complaint to the GAA beforehand.

The Dubs were comfortable in their victories over Donegal and Roscommon at the Jones Road venue either side of defeating Tyrone in Omagh, to cruise into the semi-finals against Galway.

Donegal now look like bringing a motion to next month’s Congress preventing any team from playing two of their Super 8 games at HQ.

"We haven’t mentioned Dublin in the motion. We're just calling for no county to be allowed to nominate Croke Park as a home venue. We think that's fair to everybody," Donegal chairman Michael McGrath told the Irish Independent.
