Three years of hard work paid off for ‘man-of-the-match’ Patrick Fox and his history-making Mullinalaghta team-mates against Kilmacud Crokes today.
The full-back helped to lay the foundations for his team’s two-point Leinster Club SFC final victory by curbing All-Star Paul Mannion’s influence and he outlined how far the club has come in the last three years.
“There are no words to describe it,” he told TG4’s GAA BEO.
“When Mickey Graham came three years ago we were just hoping to win one (Longford title).
“To be here wasn't in our wildest dreams. We've put in some work over the last three years.
“It's amazing. We always believed.”
