Different approach needed by Galway - Talty

Brian Talty is expected a much improved showing from Galway in this Saturday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final showdown with Dublin in Croke Park.

The Tribesmen were well off the pace against Monaghan in Salthill last Saturday evening and former player Talty - who was a selector with Dublin under Tommy Lyons and 'Pillar' Caffrey - believes they will approach this weekend with a different attitude.

"A lot of people were optimistic about Galway until last weekend," he pointed out to the Irish Independent.

"Now sometimes it happens where you have one bad performance you go from being a huge challenger to being nothing. If they played again like they did against Monaghan they have no chance.

"I expect a different approach because now you are challenging the best team in the country and the best team that has been around for a long time. There will be a different mental attitude, I'm sure."
