Aughlisnafin club notes

The Baile an Locha minors played Kilcoo in their fourth and final pre-season game on Sunday past. Thanks to Kilcoo for hosting. The opening league game will be next Tuesday 4th April away to Dromara, throw in 6.30 pm.

Training for U8.5's, u10.5's and U12's in Annsborough this Wednesday at 6.30 pm. If wet it will be in the Fin Hall with times to be confirmed.

Training for U14's and U16's in Annsborough every Tuesday at 6.30 pm.

The U14's were at home to Bright on Monday evening for their opening league game and are away to Dromara next Monday at 6.45 pm. The U16's are at home to St Paul's on Thursday night at6.45 pm. The U12's are at home to Darragh Cross this Sunday at 11 am.

Active Start GAA Coaching & Games in the Fin Hall this Saturday at 10.30 am. Once the older groups are back out on the field the U6.5's will move to a Wednesday night slot.

Club memberships deadline has now passed. If you have not renewed your membership please do so as soon as possible. Only those registered before 31st March have voting rights at AGM or can be entered into ballot for Inter County tickets.

The Fin Fun Mud Run is back ! Date for your diary Saturday 17th June 2017. More details soon.

The club will host its first ever Cúl Camp in July between 17th to 21st. Booking details soon.

Well done to our U16 players involved in St Malachys High School superb win over St Patricks College, Cavan in the Ulster Schools Brock Cup. Morgan Croskery was the goalkeeper and Shea Croskery lined out at half forward. The club have five players on the panel.

The club have just launched their new official website. Go on-line at www.aughlisnafingac.com for all the latest news in and around the club. The club's social media feeds are linked to the website and there is a fixtures and results section which will make it easier to keep up to date on the progress of our teams during the season. Thanks to John Walsh of Bluefin Software Solutions for the excellent IT service provided in designing the website.

The Executive Committee and members of Aughlisnafin GAC, deeply regret the death of Patsy Malone a long time supporter and member of our club.
