Monday 7th World Smile Day. 11am Men’s Shed; 6.30pm u12 Camogie; 7pm Ladies committee meeting; 7pm to 8pm Aged 7 to10 Boys & Girls Boxing with Legends Fitness. Also, 7pm to 9pm, Aged 11+ Chill Out upstairs with your friends, gaming area, cinema, pool, table tennis etc. 9pm Lotto. 

Tuesday 8th 11am Ladies of Mourne Chair Yoga; 6pm Murtagh School of Irish Dance; 7pm to 9pm YC drop-in for ages 7 to 10 years and projects you request. 

Wednesday 9th 9am to 4pm PIPS ASIST training; 11am Men’s Shed; 7pm to 8pm Aged 17 to 10 Boys & Girls Boxing with Legends Fitness. Also, 7pm to 9pm, Aged 11+ Chill Out upstairs with your friends, gaming area, cinema, pool, table tennis etc.

Thursday 10th World Mental Health Day. 9am to 4pm PIPS ASIST training; Mens Shed at Tollymore Climbing Wall and at Mental Health event at American Folk Park; 6.30pm to 8.30pm Aged 4 to 7 years fun and educational programs; 7.30pm No Need for Speed Project. 7.30pm County Board meeting.

Friday 11th World Pyjama Day. 11am Men’s Shed; 5.30pm u10 Gaelic; 6.30pm to 9pm ‘Drop-in’ which means no organised activities in a relaxed environment; you decide how you want to spend your time, avail of our game zone, music room, cinema, juice bar or sports hall or just come in for a chat and hang out with your mates; includes youth activities through the medium of the Irish language. Also, xbox and playstation competitions.

Saturday 12th 11am u12 Camogie Blitz in Dromara; 11am u6 Gaelic; 12pm u12 Gaelic; 12.30pm u8 Gaelic; 2pm Birthday Party.

Sunday 13th 10am Breakfast; 12pm u13 Gaelic Longstone v An Ríocht; 8pm Bingo.

Monday 14th 11am Men’s Shed; 7pm Ladies Spanish Class; 7pm to 8pm Aged 7 to10 Boys & Girls Boxing with Legends Fitness. Also, 7pm to 9pm, Aged 11+ Chill Out upstairs with your friends, gaming area, cinema, pool, table tennis etc; 9pm Lotto.

Tuesday 15th 11am Ladies of Mourne Chair Yoga; 6pm Murtagh School of Irish Dance; 7pm to 9pm YC drop-in for ages 7 to 10 years and projects you request; 7.15pm u12 Gaelic.

 

The u14 & u16 Camogie held a season debrief on Monday, thanks to the girls who attended and also the facilitators, it was a really worthwhile exercise. 

 

An Ríocht attended the Healthy Club conference in Croke Park on Saturday.

 

The u8 Gaelic tournament in Shamrocks fell victim to the weather. 

 

An Ríocht u11 & u13 footballers enjoyed games with Rostrevor on Sunday at Dunavil.

 

To mark World Animal Day on Friday past, young people brought their pets to the youth club that night and among the most popular were Luna the dog and Cotton the rabbit.  

 

Down Camogie Safeguarding course on Friday 25th October from 7pm to 10pm and Foundation Coaching course on Saturday 26th October from 9.30am to 4pm; anyone interested contact Camogie Coaching Officer Rosanne Small.

 

There’s still money coming in for the Kingdom to Croker Charity event; if anyone wants to donate please do so asap, as the cheque presentation will take place before An Ríocht AGM on Thursday 7th November.

 

Scor Na nOg gets underway the 8th, 9th & 10th November for u16s and An Ríocht are looking participants for dancing, solo singing, instrumental music, ballad group, quiz or recitation; if interested please contact the club asap.

 

An Ríocht Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 7th November; there is a Pre-AGM meeting at 7.30pm on Wednesday 23rd October; this will also serve as deadline for Club Officer Reports to be submitted to the Club Secretary and notice of motions and nominations to be submitted. All Reports will then be available to members from 1st November.

 

An Ríocht mass for deceased / bereaved members will take place on Wednesday 13th November.

 

Kingdom Camogie Christmas Craft Fayre on Sunday 1st December at Dunavil.

 

Week 61 (orange) Bingo No Winner; Week 62 (blue) House £400 available from McVeighs Costcutter Dunavil, P&J Morgan Newsagent Newry Street, Rafferty’s Garage or the club.

 

The world famous Fureys – Sweet Sixteen, Green Fields of France, Red Rose Café – will be appearing at An Ríocht on Friday 18th October; tickets £25 on sale now.

 

Everyone interested in the ‘No Need for Speed’ safe driving program aimed at 15 to 25 year olds and supported by NMDDC PCSP is asked to attend Dunavil on Thursday 10th October 7.30pm for an information session at which the program details will be agreed. 

 

In the next few weeks there will be a ‘Get-Set’ program starting at Dunavil for aged 16+, more details soon.

 

Kingdom YC Halloween program will include pumpkin carving on Tuesday 29th October, and a scary movie night for younger children and a sleep over for teens on Wednesday 30th October.

 

Rudolf has been booked; Santa will turn on our Christmas Lights on Friday 29th November.
