The u14 Gaelic An Ríocht v Clann Na Banna did not take place.

The Reserve Footballers played Down Masters at Dunavil on Tuesday.

The Senior Camogs lost to Madden 2-15 to 5-10.

The u16 footballers lost in Bosco by double scores, 6-18 to 3-9.

In the Senior Gaelic St Johns v An Ríocht, we secured an away draw with a goal with the last kick direct from a free through a crowded goal mouth with 14 defenders on the line. It was no more than we deserved for an hour’s honest endeavour in difficult circumstances with thunder and lightning and torrential rain throughout. Ronan Campbell top scored with 1-6, all from frees, but also made two score saving blocks in his own square. Paul Allen, James Colgan and Ronan McAlinden brought experience and strength to the middle third and Christopher Flanagan had his best match yet in his progression from underage to senior.

Conor Doyle cut his holiday short to be there and popped up with a point and Ryan Spiers captained the side before emigrating to Australia less than twenty-four hours later; if we can motivate that sort of commitment things are moving the right way.

The u8 footballers attended a blitz in Ballykinlar on Saturday.

The u12 Camogie Blitz at Dunavil went well and we enjoyed games with Castlewellan, Portaferry, Dromara, Atticall and Kilcoo. Thanks to all the helpers who turned out on the day.

Cooley Camogs visited Dunavil in huge numbers on Sunday for a range of friendly matches from u8 to u16, thanks to the parents for supplying the food and to all the helpers who ensured the smooth running of the day.

The u12 Gaelic An Ríocht v Saval did not take place.

The All Ireland u16B Camogie Championship Down v Westmeath took place at Dunavil.

Highlight of the Summer Scheme was the trip to Jump Box, so popular we had to get a bigger bus. Also, the weather forced some improvisation on Wednesday when the heavy rain meant the Nature Hunt in Kilbroney became a trip to Coco’s indoor play area instead and on Thursday everyone made room names from Jumping Clay.

There is a push on to sell the unsold Home Bingos each week, if anyone can take as few as five bingos (£10) a week and sell them on then it would be a huge help; all the profit from Home Bingo goes to Camogie Coaching & Lifestyle programmes.

Week 50 (purple) Bingo House £200 Stephen Cunningham; Week 51 (blue) available from McVeighs Costcutter Dunavil, P&J Morgan Newsagent Newry Street, Rafferty’s Garage or the club.
