Despite losing by three points to Wicklow on home soil today, Derry are through to the last four of the Christy Ring Cup

The Garden County came away from Owenbeg with a 1-16 to 0-16 victory under their belts but lose out to the Oak Leafers and Down on score difference.

The visitors led by 0-9 to 0-6 at the halfway stage and Enda Donohue netted the match-winning goal in the second-half.

The right-half forward finished with 1-7 to his name.

The Mourne County, meanwhile, coasted to a facile 7-22 to 2-15 victory over Donegal in Letterkenny.

Eoghan and Daithi Sands both netted a hat-trick of goals while Ronan Blair also got in on the goalscoring act via the penalty spot.

The semi-final pairings will see Derry up against Meath while Down will take on Roscommon.
