Wednesday 13th 11am Men’s Shed; 3pm Grange Afterschool; 6pm Ladies Circuits; 7pm / 9pm ‘Youth Culture & Me’ is a project that will touch upon issues such as discrimination, bullying, identity and the LGBT community. The P7+ group will also complete an OCN qualification & a 2-night residential; 7.30pm Aged 15+ Indoor Camogie Training; Senior Football pitch.

Thursday 14th 6.30pm / 8.30pm aged 4 to 7 years boys/girls; 6.30pm u12 indoor Gaelic; 7pm / 9pm Girls Night for aged 8 to11 Come Dine with Me; An Ríocht floodlights will be on from 7pm to 9pm as Ireland Lights Up, drop in whatever time suits and walk in a safe & well-lit area, all are welcome; 7.30pm u16 Indoor Gaelic.

Friday 15th 11am Men’s Shed; 2pm St Colmans Afterschool; 5.30pm u10 Indoor Gaelic; 6.30pm / 9pm Drop-in Night; avail of our new games zone, music room and sports hall or just chat or hang out. If there is something more you would like to see included any night, speak to a youth support worker; Senior Football pitch

Down GAA Draw tickets are on sale, this is our main fundraiser so please support, its £2.50 a week. 

 

Tara and Jane attended the Down GAA Officer training in the Burrendale.

 

Ladies of Mourne held their monthly committee meeting at Dunavil.

 

Carolina, Pat and Joseph attended the BCPP training in Belfast.

 

Rules of Camogie and sideline cut/free taking workshops were held at Dunavil, thanks to Veronica Baldwin and CJ McGourty for their help.

 

Once again can we remind parents that children cannot just be dropped off at Dunavil if there is not an activity that they are attending. The programme times are advertised, and it is not acceptable for children to be left at Dunavil for 30 to 60 minutes before activities begin.

 

An Ríocht have obtained a place on Ulster GAA Elevate Award on Saturday 2nd March from 9.30am to 3:30pm at Tyrone Centre of Excellence Garvaghy. This Level 2 Award is part of Ulster GAA Volunteer Development Pathway and aims to offer clubs a higher level of expertise across a range of areas from Leadership and Management; Club Planning and Marketing; Financial Management and Fundraising; Capital Projects and Partnerships.

 

On Tuesday 12th March Child Protection delivered by CiNI on behalf of EA takes place at Dunavil. Places are limited and need to be booked asap; this will be the last Child Protection at Dunavil this year. To be involved in any activity that includes a young person (ie u18) everyone needs a current child protection certificate and to be vetted, there can be no exceptions.

 

Hurling Foundation Coach Award at Dunavil on Monday 25th February; to coach a camogie team in An Ríocht in addition to child protection and vetting, you need to complete this award.

 

Well done to St Colmans PS girls’ footballers who qualified for the county finals after the Cumann Na mBunscoil indoor gaelic tournament at Dunavil on Friday.

 

Level One Football Child Coach Award will take place at Dunavil on Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th March. This is needed by everyone coaching u6, u8 and u10 footballers in An Ríocht. Parents have a very important role to play, we would encourage parents to participate in club activities while their children are playing our games. This will encourage children to keep coming back and completing this course at Dunavil will equip parents with the knowhow and confidence to assist Head Coaches make the children’s experience better.
