Glasdrumman club notes

January 14, 2019

The scor journey for the junior Glasdrumman GAC  group ended this year with our Ballad group becoming Runners up in the Ulster Final.  Despite delivering a complete, polished performance to a crowd of 700+ at the venue in Silver bridge, only one act in each category goes through to the all Ireland final.  Aoife & Tara Grant, Clodagh Morgan, Ciara Rooney and Niamh McDowell have Excelled in scor over the last few years and had stiff competition in an  incredibly high standard Ulster final .  As Southdown and Down Champions they have made history in our club to get to an Ulster final in ballad group.

Refreshments were served back at our club and a big thank you to Aileen and those who helped to organise this. A great night of song and dance was had and soon the disappointment was turned to laughter and story telling of the fun memories of this year's antics. We thank everyone involved this year in Scor and we wish Aoife Trainor from Clonduff congratulations on her success going through to the all Ireland Scor final.

Pictured with the Ulster GAA President Michael Hasson , Aileen Smith (club secretary), mentors Joanne Grant & Donna Feany. Michael had gave a few lovely words of congratulations to our girls and thanked them for their involvement in Scor.

Our walking group will commence again on Wednesday 16th January, meeting at the clubrooms at 6.30pm. Everyone welcome.
