Aughlisnafin senior player Eoin Lundy was part of the Ulster University Freshers A squad that won the All Ireland Freshers League last Thursday, beating Queens and St Mary’s enroute. Having featured on the university’s freshers B and C panels at various stages Eoin was part of the Freshers A league final squad. 

 

*Also well done to another club senior player, Shea Croskery, who is part of the St Malachys High School Ulster Schools MacLarnon Cup Squad that will meet St Patrick’s Grammar School in the quarter final to be played at the beginning of February. 

 

*Our annual Big Fin Christmas Draw will take place on Sunday 23 December at 9 pm in Mulhollands Bar. Squares are £2 each and are available to purchase in the bar or from any of our committee members. There are loads of fantastic prizes to be won. 

 

*Tickets are now available for the Down GAA Clubs Draw. The tickets are £120. Those taking tickets will receive automatic entry into Aughlisnafin club draw to be held in April. First prize is two tickets for the All Ireland Football Final & 100 Euro. Second prize is £150. Third prize is £50. As £96 goes back to our club for every ticket after the first 24 are sold this is a very important source of revenue for our club.

*We were saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs Josephine Croskery RIP. We extend our deepest sympathy her grandsons, Calum and Shea, our senior footballers, to her son Dolen, our senior team manager, and to Roisin, Ruairi and Rihanna and the extended Croskery and McCabe family circle. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam uasal. St Joseph pray for her. May Josephine rest in eternal peace.
