Wednesday 17th October

11am Men’s Shed; 3pm to 3.45pm Grange PS coaching; 6.30pm P1&P2 Camogie; 7.30pm u12 (born 07/08) Camogie; 7pm u13 Gaelic An Riocht v Clonduff; 7pm to 9pm (1st year+) All Together Now inclusion night for young people with and without a disability.

Thursday 18th October

6pm Ladies Circuits; 6.30pm u11 Gaelic; 6.30pm to 8.30pm aged 4 to 7 years boys/girls activity based; 7pm to 9pm Girls Night for aged 8 to11; 7.30pm Scor Na nOg practice; we have a wee traditional music group practicing to take part, they would love it if some more young people joined the group. We would love to add a solo singer or someone saying a poem to our entries. If you might be interested, please call out to Dunavil to find out more. At the u11 Gaelic An Riocht beat Shamrocks seven points to two.

 

At the u13 Gaelic Burren beat An Riocht.

 

The Men’s Shed ferry trip to Dundalk Men’s Shed was postponed due to Storm Callum so they spent the morning at the Carrick Cottage instead. On Wednesday 24th October they are on their travels again, this time to a Silver Screening event at Newry Omniplex focusing on scams targeting older people. The purpose of which is to increase knowledge on the current schemes and scams in the area that are specific to older people.

 

Kingdom Youth Club staff and volunteers completed training during the week including Autism Awareness facilitated by Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Services and Cook It, the community nutrition education programme, organised through the Public Health Agency. Further training coming up includes several half-day training events with various experts to support staff and volunteers. HR, Supervision & Appraisal on Wednesday 17th October 10am to 1pm; Governance Training in Legal Compliance on Wednesday 31st October 10am to 1pm; Risk Management on Wednesday 7th November 10am to 1pm; Fundraising for Clubs on Wednesday 7th November 2 to 5pm.

 

Home Bingo Week 10 (Purple) £200 Jackpot winner was Mary Allen; Week 11 (Blue) Bingo on sale now. Weeks 12 to 20 Bingos to be put in envelopes, anyone willing to take a week’s worth let Joseph know asap, also there are now extra bingos available each week so if anyone wants some let Joseph know asap.

 

Super Draw Tickets on sale from the club only £10 each, prizes include Car, Travel vouchers, All Ireland Final tickets, Shopping vouchers, etc.

 

The Youth Club Halloween events will take place on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th October at Dunavil; there will be no fireworks this year.

 

An Riocht u6, u8, u10 & u12 Camogie Awards will take place at Dunavil at 3pm on Sunday 28th October.

 

An Riocht Camogie Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 1st November.

 

An Riocht Annual Mass for deceased members will take place at 7.30pm on Friday 9th November with Fr. Hennity.

 

An Riocht Annual Awards Night will take place at 7pm on Saturday 17th November in the Balmoral Hotel.

 

An Riocht Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 21st November.

 

An Riocht Camogie Christmas Fayre will take place on Sunday 25th November.
