Down Ladies County Board Updates 

The next County Board meeting will take place on Monday 11 June at 8pm in the Thierafurth Inn, Kilcoo.  We will be launching our Club Championship so please ensure that you have read the email/notice and have your club represented. 

A big thanks to David Curran and Newry Shamrocks for providing first class facilitates for the Ulster LGFA 'Coach the Coaches' session on Thursday 31st May. Thanks to Ciaran Murtagh, Ulster LGFA Development for taking the session, Brian Devlin, Kilcoo GAC and Ciaran Kelly, Clonduff GAC, for organising the County uU14s girls to help out. A special thanks to the County U14 girls who took part in the training session. There were 20 coaches in attendance. 

Well done to all the teams from Down who took part in the Ulster U10 Blitz in Carrickcruppen, Armagh on Saturday. See social media for photos!

The LGFA Level 1 coaching course, Day 1 is taking place on Saturday 16th June. We are confirming final details and will send all coaches registered for the course email ASAP. If anyone has any queries, contact [email protected] or PM the Facebook page. 

 

 

Down Senior Ladies

The girls played a very strong Tyrone outfit in the Semi Final of the Ulster Championship, on Saturday 2nd June in Emyvale, Monaghan and suffered a heavy defeat with the final score Down 0.05 Tyrone 7.22. The girls now play Fermanagh in the second Semi Final of the Ulster Championship on Saturday 9th June, at 5pm venue TBC this week. 

 

 

U12 Exhibition Game at this match for 20 U12 girls from Down

We had 20 girls from 16 clubs in Down participate in the U12 Exhibition game on Saturday in Emyvale, Monaghan which was fantastic!  Special thanks to the management team for the day - Eamon Fegan (Burren) and Damian McLaughlin (Castlewellan). Big thanks to the girls and all the supporters for making the trip, the girls had a great experience and certainly will be future stars of Down Ladies. See social media for photos!
