Down boss Eamonn Burns has suffered a blow with the news that Barry O'Hagan has quit the Mourne County's squad.
The Irish News reports that the Clonduff forward has opted off the panel ahead of the final two rounds of the National League - making him the second player to do so in the space of a month after Gerard McGovern's decision to leave a few weeks back.
O'Hagan had been down to start in last Saturday night's visit to Cavan but was replaced in the first 15 by ace attacker Connaire Harrison, who returned from a two-game suspension, instead.
O'Hagan's brother Darren was also a late withdrawal from the starting line-up at Kingspan Breffni, having failed to recover in time from a groin injury he picked up against Clare the previous week. The former captain is expected to be available for Tipperary's visit to Newry on Sunday afternoon (throw-in 2pm).
