St. Eunan's ended Burren's reign as Ulster minor club football champions with a 1-7 to 0-7 victory at the St. Paul's GAA grounds in Belfast yesterday.
Niall Hannigan scored 1-4 for the Letterkenny side, who progress to a quarter-final meeting with Clann Eireann of Armagh next Sunday. Hannigan's goal came from a second half penalty after Liam Kerr had one saved by Ronan McGeehin in the opening half.
Meanwhile, Antrim's O'Donovan Rossa are the first team through to the semi-finals after Dominic McEnhill's 1-6 helped them to a 2-15 to 0-7 win over Killanny at the the Woodlawns Playing Fields. The Monaghan club finished with just 12 players, while Rossa also had a man sent off.
