is that how long it takes for the council to make their minds up, shocking, it's only a token gesture at this stage and should have been done sooner as the other posters have said. still nice to get a walk round council chambers

think this is a waste of money. this is a 4th division all ireland title for the weakest teams in ireland with about 5-6 teams in it. money would be better spent on development of underage hurling . footballers winning Ulster was a bigger achievement

who said it wasn't an al ireland title ?
All i'm saying it's not a very important or hard one to win considering the level of competition
I'm sure there are plenty of people with all-ireland medals in donegal at different grades and sports but didn't get an token gesture from the council
If you think the hurlers winning the 4th tier cup is the same as winning the laim Mc Carthy well that says it all really

wee buns
correct me if i'm wrong but are you comparing the winning of an All-Ireland Senior Title to winning a div 4 cup with 5-6 teams in it. are you for real ?
my sister is a world champion irish dancer that's the same as when david villa won the world cup for spain in your eyes
How may were at the div 4 final max. 300-400 hundred, senior football 80,000, of course it's the same, lol

@Correct It'd be a mean man to deny a county team their due after winning in their grade. Those hurlers do a heavy amount of work, no less than any other team, and they do so without much support. Their achievement was fantastic for hurling in the county, and I hope you're not dead set against that. You might not think much of hurling in Dún na nGall, but with a bit of luck you will someday. The standard is gradually improving. Maybe you attended the Ulster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final last year and you might even have caught some of the U-21 hurling between Tír Eoghain and Dún na nGall which went to extra time. It was a fantastic game and the football crowd really got behind the two teams too. I'm primarily a football man myself, but on that day I had to admit that main feature wasn't of the same standard. http://vimeo.com/25664388If you havn't before I'd recommend you to go out and watch a game if you have the time. If you catch a half of a local club game you might see that the boys put a lot of work into it, and they can play some good hurling too.

An Raibh
Thank you for supporting my argument by acknowledging that they played at the lowest grade

@Correct "my sister is a world champion irish dancer that's the same as when david villa won the world cup for spain in your eyes"
It's even better...no way David Villa would be good enough to win an Irish dancing world championship medal !
