We are falling behind other sports in this regard HOPES FOR 1995: I would like to win an All-Ireland with Donegal's Under 21 team. Also to retain County Senior Championship and to progress in Ulster Club Championship YOU ARE A FULL TIME GAA OFFICER: Yes, I have been employed in Donegal as coach/organiser since November last. It provides me with a great opportunity to work at something I really love doing WHAT DID IT MEAN TO THE PEOPLE OF DONEGAL WHEN THE TEAM FINALLY WON THE ALL-IRELAND IN 1992? It probably meant more to people of the older generation than it did to those of my generation but it gave the whole county a lift and a renewed confidence and belief HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP BRIAN MCENIFF'S CONTRIBUTION TO DONEGAL FOOTBALL? Brian devoted over twenty years of his life to Donegal football and the 1992 All-Ireland win was just reward for his efforts. He will be very difficult to replace HAVE YOU EVERY PLAYED UNDER HIM? I played two or three games under Brian in his last year as Donegal senior team manager TOUGHEST OPPONENT: Every opponent provides a unique new challenge, especially John Joe Doherty (Donegal), Brian Burns (Down) FAVOURITE GROUNDS: Croke Park, Dublin; Casement Park, Belfast; Fr. Tiernachs Park, Ballyshannon OTHER SPORTING INTERESTS: Very little time but I enjoy swimming and golf FAVOURITE POSITION: Full forward or centre half forward BOYHOOD HEROES: Jack O'Shea (Kerry). Colm O'Rourke (Meath) FAVOURITE PLAYERS: Peter Canavan (Tyrone), Tony Boyle (Donegal) INFLUENCE SON YOUR CAREER: My father PJ, Josie Boyle and Michael McLoone, all who coached me at underage level. I was fortunate to come from a club with a fantastic underage structure THE HIGH POINT OF YOUR CAREER TO DATE: Last year's county final win with my club Aodh Ruadh.
