Former Donegal player and physio Donal Reid is the latest GAA personality to pen his autobiography.

Confessions of a Gaelic footballer will be launched in the Abbey Hotel, Donegal town on Saturday, October 22 at 8pm. Reid, who writes a weekly column in the Donegal Democrat, won an All-Ireland medal in 1992 and was involved in the backroom team when Donegal regained the Sam Maguire in 2012. Indeed, he and Jim McGuinness were the only links between the two successes.

The book charts Reid's life from growing up in Castlefin to winning All-Ireland U21, senior and masters medals with Donegal. He also writes about his experiences of managing club teams in Donegal and Tyrone, and his life-changing trips to Meugorje.

All proceeds from the book will go to Pieta House.
