Paul Durcan insists Donegal have put the 'Bitegate' controversy behind them as they prepare to open the defence of their Ulster and All-Ireland titles against Tyrone.

Earlier this week, GAA president Liam O'Neill criticised Donegal for not cooperating fully with the investigation into claims that Dublin defender Kevin O'Brien had bitten Paddy McBrearty during last month's Allianz Football League clash in Ballybofey. O'Brien escaped a three-match ban due to a lack of evidence.

"It was a good game of football, Dublin were flying and their forwards were quick," Donegal 'keeper Durcan said at last night's Ulster SFC launch in Belfast.

"Our boys had a tough time handling them and it was disappointing in the end that Paul Mannion got that last point (which drew the game and relegated the All-Ireland champions).

"We have moved on from the incident, and there's only one thing in our minds now and that is getting a good performance against Tyrone and I'm really looking forward to it."
