Glenswilly and Sean MacCumhaills are through to the semi-final stage of the Donegal SFC.

Michael Murphy and Glenswilly registered a 0-12 to 0-5 last eight success over Four Masters at Ballybofey yesterday.

They led by 0-7 to 0-1 at the halfway stage while Four Masters’ cause wasn’t helped by the dismissal of former ‘Footballer of the Year’ Karl Lacey on the three-quarter hour mark.

County captain Murphy raised four white flags for Glenswilly, one of which came from play.

Meanwhile, goals from Martin Gallagher and Martin O’Reilly were key as Sean MacCumhaills upset the odds against St Michael’s at O’Donnell Park.

Both goals arrived in the opening half and it finished 2-10 to 0-13 in Sean MacCumhaills’ favour.

The other two quarter-finals are down for decision today with holders Kilcar versus Naomh Conaill to throw-in at 2pm at Four Masters.

Ballybofey will host the meeting of Gweedore and Bundoran (5pm).
