An Tearmainn club notes

April 04, 2018

The club would like to thank or team sponsors Donegal Commercial Vehicles and Kellys Centra for their continued support.

Our senior mens teams in association with Donegal Commercial Vehicles got the season under way last week with fixtures away to Malin on Good Friday and home to Sean MacCumhaills on Easter Sunday. The Seniors suffered 2 defeats despite a positive display in Malin but with a growing injury list a disappointing outing at the Burn road. The reserves had no game on Friday but recorded a credible draw at home on Sunday.

Both teams are due to play Four Masters away this weekend. Watch local press for details

Thanks also to Maura Friel who provided a new set of pitch flags for the season.

Condolences to the Gallagher family Burn road on the recent bereavement of Elizabeth's Mother, Margaret Mc Callion.

Termon GAA Minor Board in association with Kelly's Centra the Mountain Top Letterkenny

What a great start U6 FUNdamentals on Saturday last. Its so encouraging to see so many boys and girls in attendance and to see so many coaches and parents willing to help out. Day 2 is this Saturday also in Kilmacrennan NS keep an eye on our Minor board FB page for confirmation of time. Coaching for our U8s also continues on Saturday.

Boys and girls should have appropriate clothing for the outdoors and a gumshield. Our u10 and u9 boys and girls have their first game of the season in Glenswilly Saturday at 11.00. So no training this weekend. Parents will get further details in the next day or so.

Our U12 will have their first game of the NRB league on Wednesday next in Downings. Coaching continues tomorrow evening 5.20-6.20 at The Burn Road. Thanks to Glenswilly for the U14 challenge game on Monday evening. Next up its a road trip to Dungloe on Friday. It may be more difficult to get all our boys game time in Dungloe but we are working on finding a solution for the huge numbers of players this age group.

Well done to Trevor and our U16s on making it 3 wins from 3 in a hard fought encounter on Sunday last in Milford. It was a gritty performance and well done to the boys for digging deep to hold out for the win. Next up its St Eunans who are visitors to the Burn Road tomorrow evening with a 6.30 throw in and then away to Gaoth Dobhair on Sunday. Well done to Jamie Grant and Caolan Gallagher who played their part in Donegal U16s reaching the Buncrana Cup Semi final and Donegal minors reaching the Ulster minor league semi final respectively last week. Jamie has the honor of being part of both panels so its been a busy time for him in particular.
