Tonight saw key action taking place across all four divisions of the national football league.

There were all-Ulster clashes in the top three tiers: Tyrone welcomed neighbours Donegal to Omagh for a must-win Division One contest; table-toppers Cavan entertained Down in Division Two; and Armagh put their 100% record on the line against Derry at the Athletic Gounds (Division Three).

Meanwhile, in the basement division, Carlow were aiming to extend their perfect record as they hosted Wicklow, while Munster minnows Limerick and Waterford were both in search of their first win.
