Senior Football: On Sunday afternoon, the senior league recommenced after the July break and Glen made the short journey to Swatragh. The how side made the most of the breeze advantage in the opening half and lead at half time 0-08 to 0-04, although one of the Swatragh points was clearly blatantly wide. Stevie O'Hara (2) and Emmett Bradley (2) were the Glen scorers in the opening half. Glen were much improved in the second half with points from Stevie O'Hara, Danny Tallon, Emmett Bradley and Conor Convery. With five minutes remaining Glen put together the move of the match with Conor Convery receiving the final pass to blast to the net. Ciaran McFaul then added a further point to draw the game. In injury time Emmett Bradley had a chance to win the game from a free on the 45, but it sailed wide. The game finished level on a scoreline of Swatragh 0-15 Glen 1-12 with Glen showing great resilience in the second half to get themselves back in the game. Glen scorers Stevie O'Hara 0-04, Danny Tallon 0-02, Conor Convery 1-01, Emmett Bradley 0-04 and Ciaran McFaul 0-01. Glen play Bellaghy in the next round on Wednesday evening.
