Competition favourites Antrim overturned a one point half-time deficit to see off the challenge of Roscommon in round 2A at Dunloy.

The Saffrons trailed by 0-7 to 0-8 at half-time but produced an improved showing in the second-half to run out 2-14 to 1-12 winners.

Conor Carson and Nigel Elliott goaled for the Saffrons who now advance to the semi-final stages.

Kildare, meanwhile, got their campaign back on track with a 0-17 to 0-9 round 2B victory over 12-man Wicklow in Arklow.

Joe Quaid's men outscored their hosts by 10 points to three in the second-half having led by 0-7 to 0-6 at the break.

The match was marred by unsavoury scenes late on and three Wicklow players were shown red cards.

Also in round 2B, Down dumped Derry out of the running when inflicting a 1-18 to 1-15 defeat on the hosts in Owenbeg.

The Oak Leafers went in at the break with a slender  1-7 to 0-9 advantage thanks to Oisin McCloskey's goal but last year's finalists were left to rue a number of squandered scoring opportunities at the final whistle.

At the opposite end of the field, Brook Byers goaled for the Mourne County and two injury time points gave Michael Johnston's side the victory.

Tomorrow sees Meath travelling to Ruislip to take on London with a place in the last four on offer for the winners.
