Derry face a gruelling road trip for Saturday’s first-round SF Qualifier against Wexford.
The Oak Leaf County have been drawn away from home, so they must travel to Wexford Park to take on the Model County.
According to Google Maps, the journey is either 381km one-way via the N2 (5 hours, 4 minutes) or 383km via the N3 (5 hours, 12 minutes). The team are departing at 5pm on Friday and will have to run off a bit of coach-lag ahead of the 4:45pm throw-in the following evening.
“It’s actually not our longest journey this year,” County Board secretary Sean Keane told RTE. “We were away in Waterford in the league and we had to travel to Limerick too so we have been unlucky.”
