Manager Paul McIver and Down club Kilcoo have parted company.

The three point Down SFC final defeat to Burren has brought the curtain down on McIver’s time in charge of the club.

They just came up short in their bid to win a record seven county titles in-a-row and the Ballinderry, Co Derry native was in charge for three of those victories.

“Eoghan Rua Cill Chua CLG would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul McIver and his management team for their commitment and dedication over the past 4 seasons and for the joy and success they have brought to our club and parish,” a club statement read.

“Paul took on the management of our senior team in late 2014 and took us to 3 county titles, culminating in a remarkable 6 in a row in 2017. We can’t thank him and his assistants enough for the work they have done.

“We wish each and everyone of them all the best in the future.”
