Ulster Club SHC: Ballycran send holders Slaughtneil packing

Champions Slaughtneil made their exit from this year’s Ulster Club SHC at the hands of Ballycran at Corrigan Park today.

Goals from James Coyle (2), Niall Breen and Christopher Egan were the highlights as the Down representatives recorded an impressive 4-15 to 1-14 semi-final success.

Coyle and Breen found the back of the Slaugthneil net in the first-half and they led by 2-6 to 1-7 at the midway point after Meehaul McGrath had pulled a goal back for the holders.

There was no let up from Ballycran after the break and they pulled away to finish with 10 points to spare.
