Derry 0-11

Kerry are All-Ireland U21B hurling champions for the second successive year after scoring an emphatic victory over Derry this afternoon at Nowlan Park.

The Kingdom had 15 points to spare over their Ulster counterparts in the end as goals from Jordan Conway and Eoin Ross in either half saw them control this decider.

Conway's goal came on the stroke of half-time to send the would-be winners in at the break with a 1-9 to 0-6 advantage and points from Barry O'Mahony, Michael Leane and Shane Conway (2) moved them nine in front within 10 minutes of the restart.

Derry were in sore need of goals that never came their way as Kerry skipper Jason Diggins and full-back Evan Murphy held firm in the Munster side's defence until the very end.

More points from Shane Conway and Leane bumped the Kerry lead up to 1-16 to 0-11 before Ross blasted to the Oak Leafers' net with seven minutes remaining, putting a seal on back-to-back titles in this grade for the Kingdom.
