After the shadow boxing of the opening round, the Super 8s came to life over the weekend. Here's our team of the week…
1. Rory Beggan (Monaghan)
Finished as his side's second top scorer with four points from long range frees and his kick-out strategy was executed to perfection.
2. Paul Brennan (Donegal)
The ex-Leitrim man put in an assured performance as Donegal got their first Super 8 points on the board against Roscommon.
3. Jonny Cooper (Dublin)
The Dublin defence withstood a late Red Hand rally in Omagh and Cooper was, as per usual, in the thick of the action.
4. Tom O'Sullivan (Kerry)
With Kerry's back very much against the wall, the Dingle youngster raced forward to send over two valuable points.
5. Michael McKernan (Tyrone)
McKernan and Tyrone took the fight to Dublin in Omagh on Saturday evening but their best wasn't good enough against the All-Ireland champions.
6. Frank McGlynn (Donegal)
The experienced McGlynn played the sweeper role to great effect against the Rossies and also got forward at every available opportunity.
7. Karl O'Connell (Monaghan)
Continued where he left off against Kildare with a performance full of industry and his pace is a potent weapon in Monaghan's arsenal.
8. James McCarthy (Dublin)
The all-action McCarthy's second-half goal was the difference between the sides at the final whistle in Healy Park.
9. Thomas Flynn (Galway)
Flynn was the pick of the midfielders on view in Newbridge and he helped to lay the foundations for the Tribesmen's three-point victory.
10. Brian Howard (Dublin)
The Raheny man maintained his impressive run of form and has emerged as a key player for Jim Gavin's side this summer.
11. Michael Murphy (Donegal)
Positioned at the edge of the square, the Tir Chonaill side's captain wreaked havoc in Hyde Park and his 0-9 tally included five points from play.
12. Sean Kelly (Galway)
Kelly's appetite for hard graft was very much in evidence as the men in maroon and white secured their place in the last four of this year's All-Ireland SFC.
13. David Clifford (Kerry)
Forced to live off scraps for the second week running, the 19-year-old came to the Kingdom's rescue with a sensational last-gasp equalising goal.
14. Conor McManus (Monaghan)
Finished the ball in the back of the Kerry net in the second minute and that was a sign of things to come from the clinical Clontibret sharpshooter.
15. Ian Burke (Galway)
Only scored a point but the Corofin player's finger prints were all over many of his team's scores against the Lilywhites.
