Donegal manager Gary McDaid is under no illusions about the task facing his side in today's Ulster U20FC quarter-final against Derry at Healy Park.

While Donegal have the benefit of a resounding preliminary round win over Cavan, Derry have yet to play but with many of last year's All-Ireland MFC finalists involved, McDaid is expecting a tough challenge.

"Derry were beaten by Kerry last year in the All-Ireland minor final and they will have a lot of those lads involved," he pointed out to the Donegal News.

"And then there are boys that were beaten in the 2016 Ulster (minor) final by Donegal. When you look at the two teams that they have to pick from in comparison with us, we were beaten in the first round by Antrim last year and won the Ulster title the year before.

"So they have probably a wider crop of players to choose from and competed at a higher level, and maybe it's advantage Derry on that one."
