Coláiste Choilm have been crowned All-Ireland senior 'B' hurling champions for the first time in their history

It's been a great day for two midland schools with Coláiste Choilm, Tullamore and Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar claiming the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools senior 'B' hurling and junior 'A' football titles.

In Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan, Coláiste Choilm recorded a 0-17 to 0-13 extra-time victory over St. Patrick's, Maghera to be crowned All-Ireland senior 'B' hurling champions for the first time in their history.

Maghera led by 0-7 to 0-3 after playing with the wind in the first half, but two late points from Brian Duignan - son of RTE pundit Michael - forced extra-time for the Offaly school. The winners had opened up a two-point lead at the end of the first period of extra-time, and a Billy Fogarty point late in the second period sealed a four-point victory.

Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar are also celebrating after their 1-12 to 0-13 All-Ireland junior 'A' football victory over the famed Kerry football nursery St. Brendan's College, Killarney in Bansha, Co. Tipperary.

Shane Williams' first half goal proved all-important as the Westmeath school pulled off a famous win. Man of the match Charlie Drumm and fellow defender Conor Gibney also played starring roles for the winners.
