The draws for the 2018 Dr McKenna Cup have been made by Ulster Council tonight at the Balmoral Hotel in Belfast.
Champions Tyrone, who have won the competition on the last six occasions, have been drawn into Section A against Sigerson Cup holders St Mary's, Mattie McGleenan's Cavan side and Antrim.
University of Ulster Jordanstown were first out of the hat in Section B and will have ties against Derry, Down and Kieran McGeeney's Armagh to look forward to in the New Year.
Section C will see new Fermanagh manager Rory Gallagher coming up against his former Donegal charges, with Monaghan and Queen's University, Belfast drawn in the same group.
Round 1 begins on Wednesday, January 3rd with the second round scheduled for Sunday (January 7th) and Round 3 the following Wednesday the 10th.
The semi-finals will be played on Sunday, January 14th with the competition's final pencilled in for the weekend of January 20th/21st.
