Wexford were knocked out of the Leinster U20FC by Dublin today, but the game will be remembered for a remarkable point from play by the losers' goalkeeper Ivan Meegan.
The Ferns St. Aidan's clubman is no stranger to getting on the scoresheet and finished with 0-4 (0-3 frees) to his credit as the Slaneysiders made the Dubs work hard for their 1-15 to 0-11 victory at Innovate Wexford Park.
After taking a return pass from Richie Waters on his own 20-metre line, Meegan had the audacity to solo upfield and boom over an outrageous solo score from well outside the opposing 45-metre line.
You won't see a better point this year.
