Can I point out that the ref didn't ruin the match? The tackle by Flynn was head high, late and there was definitely an element of striking involved. Great decision by ref, a brave decision and the correct one. Zero chance that will be appealed and zero chance of it being rescinded.

Province is weak. A laughable argument coming from someone living in Leinster. Leinster has been abysmally weak for almost 20 years. Since 2006 definitely. Embarrassingly so. Connacht has five teams and three of them always feature in top ten teams any year.

Offaly fans whinging doesn't take away from the actual facts in O' Connor Park today. Antrim had nothing to play for, Antrim played to the final whistle plus in other matches Offaly got one point from their two crucial matches in this division, they were extremely lucky to beat Meath in Birr after Meath missed a sitter in last minute. They still have an inflated sense of their standing nationally. Supporters expected to cruise through division two. Duignan's verbal attack on David Hughes afterwards is not befitting a county chairman. He's not a pundit when it comes to Offaly matches.

Issue with management? Three players decided to go to Cheltenham a few days before the most important match of the year. Management had to be seen to take action which they did. Correctly so. Players going to Cheltenham wouldn't happen in counties operating at the higher levels and they are the standards we should be aspiring to. Another Westmeath player rescheduled his holiday and he should be lauded for his action.

Why should there be questions re losing two keepers? Lynch has been excellent since taking over. Paddy Carroll was unhappy after being dropped for league final and left the squad. No big deal. Strange to focus on a keeper issue after being comprehensively beaten. Our starting forwards scored 1 point from play outside our only outstanding forward. Hardly championship winning material. Carlow last year and Laois this year have simply had better forwards. Watch club championship shortly and see what inter county material we have forwards wise. One of our selectors is still one of the best four forwards in the county but there's no future in playing 36 year olds. This squad has had a very good year, promotion and only lost McDonagh final.

Promotion? Steady on lads? Are we fit to play Dublin, Kerry, Donegal etc in Div 1? Clare and Laois deservedly beat us last year in championship. Staying in Div 2 would be considerable achievement. We've had our three easiest matches so far, two at home. Four very tough games left, I'd gladly take two more points which would surely guarantee Div 2 status.

Jobber was right, we got ahead of ourselves, yet again, totally deserved victory for Kerry, Shane Conway was easily best player on field. We had one forward who could trouble them, our starting forward line scored 1 point from play outside Killian Doyle, strength of our bench found wanting again with the exception of Shane power and Darragh Clinton briefly. Strange managerial decisions at half time making three subs. We have it all to do now facing Antrim and Laois away.
