Intermediate Football Championship

Little respect shown to Bun and Miltown and intermediate championship, as no linesmen were present at the game and umpires were pulled at the last second. Wouldn't see it happen in town at a Shamrocks or Lomans game.
Bun were poor and well done to Miltown but referee had an absolute shocker.

Liek it always has the Intermediate throw up some very interesting results, A lot would of fancied Bun vs Milltown but Milltown pulled it out of the bag. Likewise Ballinagore got a huge win over Ballymore. Both Milltown and Ballinagore now in with a chance to make the knock out stages. Milltown will surely pick up 2 more points in the last game vs Finea which will put them through. All very tight in group 2, only 2 points separate the top 5 teams.

Surprising win for Milltown sees them as favourites to reach a QF with Bun in group 2. Ballymore and Moate will be huge on Sunday, loser in the releagtion playoff but I think either will take CFCW easily.

Other group has 2 good games to finish things as well, winner of St.MArys and Tang gets into the SF while winner of Malachys and M'Pass will get the last QF spot. Think Tang and MAlachys will have too much

Heard that their fixture was rearranged at 11.30 last night by cb. Lads had arranged to be off work on Sunday and couldn't change at the last minute. Fair play to cb!!

What a way to end your season. Ballinagore players and mentors are gonna regret there decision not to show up. Who will bun play in QF now?

The Fat Lady hasn't lubricated her vocal chords yet! I believe Ballinagore will appeal the short notice. Should get seven days notice for Championship. Players/clubs treated with contempt by county board.

Bun v Ballinagore was down for Saturday evening for over a week now. Ballinagore requested a change the Friday morning before the game. Ref and umpires present, bun team on field, referee threw the ball in and bun scored a goal and the final whistle went. I can't see how Bun won't be awarded the points. If the fixture is rescheduled very unfair on bun.

Think you need to check your facts there, county board changed the game to Sunday on Thursday following the midweek results so that ballinagore bun game and moate Ballymore game were at same time. I believe bun objected to this late change and at 10.30 Friday night game was changed back to Saturday. A number of ballinagore players had changed work shifts from Sunday to Saturday and couldn't change again at such late notice. Complete lack of respect shown to both clubs, players do have other commitments outside of football. Surely all final round games in each group should have been originally fixed for same time? Hardly rocket science! Will be interesting to see what happens now

Depends on what happens with Bun game, if Bun get the points then its below.

Bun V St.Malachys (winner V St.Marys)
Milltown V Tang (winner V Shandonagh)

Tubberclaire and Milltownpass down to group 2 next year.

Moate v Finea in the relegation play off

county board gave 4 days notice of the refixture
Ballinagore haven't a hope of that appeal being successful

IF GAME is changed on Thursday to Sunday. Then Friday changed back to Saturday hardly 4 days there .

But game was fixed for Saturday all week? I would be surprised if appeal was successful but if so then prob a refixture and B'gore docked points. I think similar happened Plunketts a couple of years ago and that was the outcome.

Why would it be a re fixture and docked points? Plunketts were Docked points for refusing to play a game because they played one 3 days previous.

if they were told about the refixture on Thursday and it was for Sunday, that is four days. In the eyes of our county board.
