Allard, Pat

Pat was a staunch Shandonagh man who served as club president up until the time of his death. In the club's inaugural year of 1968, he lined out in the full back line alongside John Lyons and Tommy Nally as Shandonagh reached the junior championship final. Defeat was their lot on that occasion, but they later made amends by winning the junior league title at the first time of asking, with Pat lining out at top of the left in the final win over local rivals Milltown.

After his playing days ended, he kept the new pitch in Kilpatrick in pristine condition by looking after the grass and hedges. He is survived by his wife Marion and son James.
