There’s little light at the end of the tunnel for the Galway footballers as their injury crisis heightens.

Ahead of the Connacht SFC clash against London next month, the Tribesmen have a plethora of players on the treatment table and two more have been added to the list.

Peter Cooke (foot) and Ciaran Duggan (knee) are both out of the clash against the Exiles and they join team captain Damien Comer (ankle), Adrian Varley (shoulder), Declan Kyne (ankle), Cillian McDaid (metatarsal) and Paul Conroy (double leg break) on the sideline.

Speaking to the Connacht Tribune, Galway manager Kevin Walsh admitted that the injury list was reaching crisis point.

“We are not having a great run of it with injuries, but I was more than happy with our league displays given we were missing so many,” said Walsh.

“To have a chance of qualifying for the league final heading into the last round of group matches was a good position to be in.”
