Derry manager Damian McErlain is set to be without both Michael McEvoy and Niall Toner for this year’s championship.

The Irish News reports that both players are set to jet off to the US and will not be available to the Oak Leafers this summer.

McEvoy featured in his county’s recent Division 4 final victory over Leitrim at Croke Park while Toner has been in and out of the team with a hamstring strain.

It is understood that both players informed McErlain of their decision to travel at the start of the 2019 campaign.

Derry take on neighbours Tyrone in the preliminary round of the 2019 Ulster senior football championship on May 12th.
