Kingspan Breffni is set to re-open its gates on October 14th as the Cavan senior and intermediate football championships wind down to a close.

Cavan GAA headquarters has been closed since the beginning of this past summer for pitch re-surfacing, forcing the Breffni County to play its home qualifier ties against Down and Tyrone at Brewster Park, Enniskillen.

With work now completed, the stadium is expected to host the county intermediate championship final in four Sunday's time with the senior decider also to be staged there on October 21st.

With the previous two years winners’ Cavan Gaels and Ramor United having crashed out last weekend, Donal Keogan’s Castlerahan side are now firm front-runners in the senior race at odds of 4/5 to capture their club’s first Oliver Plunkett Cup.
