Fresh from their victory over Cork yesterday, the Limerick hurlers departed for Portugal this morning for a week-long training camp.

The Limerick Leader is reporting that John Kiely's men flew out of Dublin Airport for some warm-weather training before returning ahead of next Sunday's Allianz Hurling League Division 1 clash with Westmeath at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

Tipperary also held a training camp in Alicante this time last year which stood them in good stead as they went on to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup.
