Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald believes Leinster SHC final opponents Kilkenny will be favourites heading into the provincial decider on Sunday week.

The sides played out an absorbing draw in the group stages last Saturday, which ultimately put the two of them into the Leinster final.

Speaking to the Wexford People, Fitzgerald stated that the Cats have a lot more experience of playing in GAA headquarters than his charges.

“Croke Park is a second home for those Kilkenny lads. They will be the warmest of favourites going into that game, but certainly it’s something to look forward to,” said Fitzgerald.

The Leinster SHC final will be part of a triple header with the MHC final between the same counties and the Joe McDonagh Cup final between Westmeath and Laois also taking place on the same day.
