Tyrone goalkeeper Niall Morgan is confident that they can bring the Sam Maguire Cup back north of the border in the near future.

The Red Hand County’s latest assault on the All-Ireland series was halted by Kerry at the semi final stage last Sunday.

Many are predicting that this is as good as it gets for the Ulster side, but Morgan stressed that if he believed that he would walk away from the county scene.

“If I thought Tyrone weren’t going to win the All-Ireland, then I just wouldn’t play. It’s as simple as that. I come every year expecting to win the All-Ireland and if you ask any of the boys they’d be exactly the same,” said Morgan.

“Nobody plays this game to be second, and getting beat in the final last year we might as well have been put out in the first round of the qualifiers. You come to win cups and unfortunately this year we’ve fallen short again.”
