Westmeath are just happy to still be in the 2020 Leinster SFC!
All-conquering Dublin were due to begin their quest for a six-in-a-row of Sam Maguire Cups against the Lake County in Tullamore today, but the Covid-19 pandemic has thrown the entire 2020 championship up in the air and games may not return until next year.
Westmeath GAA took to Twitter to share some light-hearted humour with their followers on what should have been a big weekend for the county:
We were always confident that we would still be in the @gaaleinster Championship at tea time this evening! #Westmeathgaa #StayHome #WestmeathDublin #IarmhiAbu

We're sorry to have to remind Westmeath fans but their last championship meeting with the Dubs was a 31-point hammering at Croke Park in 2017!
