Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy believes that when his forwards are on form, they are a joy to watch.

In two Munster SHC games, Tipperary have score 2-30 and 2-28, a total of 4-58, which is some return from just 140 minutes-plus hurling.

And Sheedy told the Waterford News & Star that the forwards have been hitting form so far in the campaign.

“Anyone watching these guys play over the last number of years, there’s some really good forwards there,” stated Sheedy.

“They’re playing very well as a unit. Their quality of striking is top class. We kept the scoreboard ticking over but there were long periods where we struggled to get our scores.

“It was just the last ten minutes where we really exploded. It probably gave the scoreboard a somewhat unreal look in the finish.”
