If there was one good advertisement for club-only April, then it must be the Kerry club senior football championship.

Two rounds of the championship have been played so far and going into this weekend’s last round of games, seven of the eight teams still have a chance of making the semi-finals.

The decision before the start of the championship where the first round winners were kept apart until now has certainly paid off.

Kilcummin can’t make it through to the knockout phase, but they still can avoid relegation with a win over Dingle, so it is certainly a case of all to play for this weekend.

All-Ireland club finalists Dr Crokes are part of Group 2 with all four teams still in with a chance of progressing, while all four could find themselves in a relegation play-off.

So the scene is set for an exciting weekend of action.
